PIERRE FAREL

A former student of the Fine Arts of Avignon, Pierre Farel was born in Orange and moved to Corsica at the age of 20 in 1977. In 2013, he celebrated 25 years of painting; he has his studio in Ajaccio, as well as the space Farel Créations, a gallery he opened in 2005 where he presents his canvases, lithographs, and various creations. Corsica is part of his life, his maternal ancestors were Corsican. To date, he has created 1700 canvases, 220 oil paintings on paper, 20 lithographs, and products related to decoration and fashion. He has exhibited in numerous galleries since 1988 and regularly in Paris, London, Marseille, Beirut, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nice, Avignon, Nancy, as well as in Brussels, Berlin, Hamburg, Lausanne, Barcelona, Beijing, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Miami... His universe, for it is indeed a universe, is a waking dream, a shadow, an illusion. Pensive unknowns with golden skin, of a beauty that captures the gaze, bars and nightclubs where fashion mixes with music. Everything evokes universal encounter and sensuality.
