JOSHUA JENSEN-NAGLE

Joshua Jensen-Nagle, born and raised in New Jersey, moved to Canada in 1999 to study at Ryerson University, where he began developing his distinct photographic style. An established artist, Jensen-Nagle has exhibited in international museums and galleries. His works, though photographic, often flirt with painting, creating a unique style that blends various techniques. He especially uses expired Polaroid films for an exceptional color palette and paints directly on his photos before re-photographing them, blurring the boundaries between mediums. Jensen-Nagle is known for his pictorial approach to photography, aiming to capture pictorial quality within his images. His series include captivating views of iconic places, scenes of daily life, and landscapes, blending dream and reality, intimacy, and the vastness of spaces. Joshua Jensen-Nagle has been mentioned in publications like Photolife, National Post, Galleries West, and Canadian House and Home, with his works part of significant collections worldwide, including corporations like Microsoft, Hilton hotels, Target Canada Corporation, and Cirque du Soleil
